Makeover

So this past month or so, I've been re doing my room at my parents house, as I highly doubt ill be moving out anytime soon. I finally got rid of the hot pink walls i created when I was 13 and chose a light lavender. A few trips to Ikea and around town I have a whole new feel going on. I will continue to collect some things, as my walls are empty from painting I haven't had a chance to get some stuff up yet!

Hallloween Town

So the past week or so I have been trying to get in the spirit of Halloween. Spent some time baking some DELICIOUS cupcakes and a visit to the pumpkin patch. I carved my pumpkin last night but my favourite part has always been taking out the pumpkin guts. :) What are you guys being for halloween? My friends and I are being Greek Goddesses, I'm thinking Aphrodite. :) 

Round One

OK! These are my first renderings of my collection, I am not certain about anything yet, although I did draft the pattern for the mustard dress. There are lots of changes to be made but this is how it is looking thus far. I made a sample page of fabric swatches. I want to use a majority of natural fibres ex. silk and wool. Preferable 100% but you can't always get what you want. 

50s in the City

OK, SO.. been back at school for a month now, already down to the wire about grad collection designs. Two days to figure it out! Last week I made a storyboard about my inspiration. I love classic styles and my favourite decade is the 50s and the New Look silhouette. With that said I decided to go for 50s fashion icons meets present day New York City fashion. I believe it will be a cocktail line. We will see how this all turns out.. Will try to post more often, about more interesting things! I need to get my life on track!

Day one of New York Fashion Week has already gotten me excited! Although I am wishing more than anything I was at the night out in NY right now, I am not but sitting at home looking at the shows instead. Jen Kao's show today was lovely in my opinion and below I added some of my favourite looks. I love the nude color palate in all three of these designs. I am especially intrigued by the middle body-con dress. The geometrical design is just divine!.. I want!

Versailles and the Louvre

Here are some more pictures! I have been starting to think about school and getting ready to get back into the swing of things and I am not impressed! I need to start thinking about what I want to design for my graduation collection and at this point I have no idea! The colourful shirt I am wearing was from TopShop, my only purchase in London, I couldn't stand the tremendous crowds! The middle picture is overlooking the Seine at sunset and the bottom two are from Versailles. It was the hottest day ever and we just about died an hour after these photos were taken! Hope everyone had a marvelous summer. Last week I went down to the states to get some shopping done and picked up some cute dresses from F21 for such low prices!

I just got home 2 days ago from my trip to Europe! I am so jet lagged I can't function and for the three people that might read this, here are some pictures from my first day in Paris! I loved it there and can't wait to see the rest of the world. I will post about my findings soon! xo

Too nerv to wear them out of the house yet, (Port Moody hasn't quite warmed up to the drop crotch) I put them on for the first time and took some pics. Thanks to my bestie Joel who got them for me for half off because he works at American Apparel.

after months upon months of eyeing these fabulous legging/tap pants.. they finally were on sale! i couldn't justify spending 50 dollars on a pair of leggings. although they are not so flattering front on, they are wonderful! i am wearing them tonight as i head out to a show my friends band is playing in.
